VISION
The vision of JAM Camp is to equip teenagers throughout Inner City communities with spiritual, mental and physical tools to live out the hope that all things are possible through Christ.
OBJECTIVES
The below camp objectives support AIA's concept of obeying the Great Commission
WIN: We introduce campers to Jesus.
BUILD: We help them grow in their relationship with God.
SEND: We send them back to their local community and beyond to share the truth and love of Jesus.
Our key objectives are to use sports to
- Share the Gospel message of redemption and eternal life through a relationship with Jesus Christ (share Gospel during camp; establish connections between campers and local church/Christian organizations for follow on ministry/discipleship opportunities)
WIN-BUILD-SEND
n NEED: Christian staff and volunteers at camp…equipped to share Gospel and/or connect students with local churches and discipleship opportunities
- Share tools that demonstrate individual responsibility and effective leadership in their personal and public life (use JAM Session talks and one-on-one interaction with mentors to highlight the importance of individual responsibility and effective leadership) …..
BUILD-SEND
n NEED: Teaching and training methods that demonstrate and reinforce opportunities and associated outcomes of individual responsibility and effective leadership
- Share time and talent of mentors to inspire hope and confidence that a successful future is within their reach (leverage experiences and talents of Cru staff, professional/college athletes and coaches, and local leaders to provide campers 1st hand exposure to positive role models)
