Main Scripture: Genesis 3:8-13, John 10:27-30, Isaiah 26:4

Key Verse:

"Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal." (Isaiah 26:4)

Waves crashing on the rock

Opening

Let me ask you a question.

Have you ever noticed how one sentence can change the way you see yourself?

"You'll never be good enough."

"Nobody really loves you."

"Eventually everyone leaves."

Maybe nobody said those exact words to you, but somewhere along the way your heart learned them.

Now here's the dangerous part.

If we're not careful, we'll begin believing those same lies about God.

Some of us aren't struggling because God has been silent.

We're struggling because we're listening to voices He never spoke.

That's exactly what happened in the Garden of Eden.

After Adam and Eve sinned, God asked a question that still echoes today:

"Who told you that...?"

God wasn't looking for information.

He was exposing influence.

Before He addressed their actions, He addressed the voice they believed.

That's where many of us need to begin.

Main Idea

Many of us struggle to trust God because we're listening to voices that God never spoke.

Every day, we're surrounded by voices.

The voice of fear.

The voice of shame.

The voice of our past.

The voice of disappointment.

The voice of anxiety.

The question isn't whether you'll hear voices.

The question is:

Which voice gets the final word?

Have you ever felt like you weren't enough?

Maybe you made a mistake.

Maybe someone rejected you.

Maybe you look around and feel like everyone else has it together except you.

We've all been there.

JAM Camp 2023 - Be Great Because God Is Great

Main Scripture

Psalm 145:3
"Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom."

Big Idea

You were created by a great God. Because God is great, you have the opportunity and responsibility to pursue greatness in every area of your life.

Greatness is not about fame.

Greatness is not about being better than everyone else.

Greatness is becoming the man God created you to be.
