I'm Taurus M. James, and my soul had something to say on this day. In this live Soul Speak Session 202308011819 (August 1, 2023, 6:18 PM), I sat down to create what I call Smooth Grooves—music that flows freely, without rules or rehearsals. Every sound you hear was made live, as it came to me.

A slow, sentimental, and reflective improvisation. Electric piano and strings carry the emotion.

An unplanned moment that took shape on its own—pure expression, unfiltered.

The Soul Speak Process

Each Soul Speak Session is spontaneous. I create live, by ear, guided by feeling. As a visually-impaired musician, I rely less on sight and more on sound and emotion. The result is raw, real, and deeply personal. Sometimes I mumble. Most times, silence says more.

I began by making beats. Over time, I found my sound. Now, I let my soul speak through every note.

Note: I'm a visually-impaired musician who plays and produces by ear. Every Soul Speak Session is created live, in the moment.
