Journal Entry - My VISION Quest Core Scriptures

Habakkuk 2:1-3

1) I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the ramparts. I will watch to see what He will say to me and how I will answer my reproof.

2) Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it.

3) For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end, and will not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and not delay.…

Verse 1

"I will stand"

"at my guard post"

"and station myself"

"on the ramparts."

"I will watch "

- LOOKING for the LORD

- EXPECT the LORD to arrive/show up

"to see what He will say to me"

- ready himself to HEARfrom the LORD

- EXPECT the LORD to say something to him

"and how I will answer my reproof."

- Also looking forward to his RESPONSE to the LORD

Verse 2

Then the LORD answered me:

- AFTER he stood and positioned himself LOOKING for the LORD and what HE had to say!

- The LORD answered him!

- He made himself ready to hear from the lORD.

“Write down this vision"

- WRITE IT, the LORD commanded (WHY?)

- Writing RECORDS, record to memory what you SEE

- Written vision is available to REMIND, to keep on track, to bear witness to

" and clearly inscribe it on tablets, "

- make it clear/plain, easy to understand, legible, useful

"so that a herald may run with it."

- plain enough that others can digest it and use it/benefit from it, share it
