God's Plan

God is The Initiator. Whether it is God's plan of salvation or Go'ds plan to use us to reach out to others, God is The Initiator. We do well to actively and continuously acknowledge and remind one another of this fact.

This plan uses existing opportunities, where God has GCC already plugged in.

"God Reaching Out" Using GCC

Objectives

• Reach up to God in corporate prayer, seeking how God wants to reach out to POWs using GCC.
• Teach GCC mission, bision and values
• Teach how God has uniquely gifted GCC (Grace, EHS, Oneness, Vision)
• Mobilize GCC with a regulary schedule to meet God for use at His compassion efforts 

Goals

• Find out where God has GCC active in the surrounding communities
• Each connection group establish a "God's-eye" view of how He uses GCC in communities
• Increase corporate prayer: Each connection group praying together one time per week
• Increase compassion: Each connection group mobilized in a compassion effort once a month

"Reach, Teach, Mobilize, Praise!"

Reach out to God through paryer and fasting, seekingGod's direction and power. God, show us where/who.

Teach why, what, when, where and how God wants to use GCC as God reaches out to people. God, show us how.

Mobilize GCC by giving clear line-of-sight to opportunities to meet  and move with God in "God reaching out" events. God, use us.

Praise: Share testimonies of God reaching out. God, thank You!

Example:

"God reaching out" using GCC, as a whole , in a single event for the month.

AUG 2023

Week 1 - Reach: God, show me where/who

• Sunday: Announce compassion prayer focus of the week to general assembly
• Prayer focus: "God, show me where/who"
• GCC Body: Prayer individually and collectively (in connection groups)
• GCC Body: Prayer for The Poor Orphans Widows (POWs) 
• GCC Body: Look into and decide specific opportunity together
• GCCPOC: Contact/Coordinate with POC at destination and get instructions
• GCCPOC: Get interest count and forms team

Week 2 - Teach: God, teach/show me how

• Sunday: Announce opportunity and POC/team to general assembly
• Prayer focus: God, teach/show me how
• GCC Body: Prayer for The Poor Orphans Widows (POWs) 
• GCCOM Training Session: How God reaches out through The Spirit
• GCCOM Training Session: How God has specifically gifted GCC (Grace, EHS, Oneness, Vision)
• GCCOM Training Session: GCC Mission/Vision/Values
• GCCPOC: Contact/Coordinate with POC at destination (any updates)
• GCCPOC: Get interest count and confirm GCC team

Week 3 - Mobilize: God, fill me and use me

• Sunday: Announce opportunity to general assembly
• Prayer focus: God, fill me with Your Spirit and use me 
• GCC Body: Prayer for The Poor Orphans Widows (POWs) 
• GCCPOC: Get interest count and confirm GCC team
• GCCPOC: Contact/Coordinate with POC at destination (any updates)
• Go! Meet God at destination

Week 4 - Praise and Gratitude

• Simday: Share testimonies with the general assembly/Invite others to join in
• Sunday: Specific time of praise and gratitude
• GCC Body: Prayer for The Poor Orphans Widows (POWs) 
• GCCPOC/Team after-action with GCCOM

GCCOM = GCC Outreach Minister (Taurus)

GCCPOC  = GCC POC - Point of Contact already plugged in to opportunity/destination

The above example shows GCC as a whole used at one event/location.

The plan can be modifeid for existing connection groups to operate seperately, covering more locations.

A connection group can use this plan to mobilize once a month. The whole GCC body can use this plan and mobilize once a quarter.

Biblical Worldview

“Where life and faith intersect”…that's what we are all about here at GCC. We want to be an extension of Christ's compassion while holding firmly to the Bible as our divine source of faith and conduct. Jesus is both the focus of the Bible and senior leader of the Church. As such, our highest priority is to fulfill the mandates Jesus issued – The Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). (See “Our Beliefs.”)

Spiritual Maturity

We exist to resource those aspiring to follow Jesus. According to the New Testament, spiritual maturity will be evidenced by four metrics: growing intentionally, serving unselfishly, giving generously, and living humbly (Ephesians 4:12-16; 2 Peter 1:3-11).

Emotionally-Healthy Relationships

We welcome everyone to come as they are, but grow. Becoming part of God's family means we are neither independent nor codependent, but interdependent (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). We encourage imperfect people to build authentic relationships that are emotionally honest and filled with both “grace and truth” (John 1:14). (see Connection Groups)

Generous Involvement

We are a generous church, which simply means we encourage every person to be “all in” and to do their fair share of the lifting. As growth occurs, we believe there will be an increased desire to faithfully serve. This means both being engaged in the ministry of the church as well as being committed to giving back of your time, talents, and treasures to see God's kingdom advance (Romans 12:11; Ephesians 6:7-8). Humble Dependence

We believe in humble dependence on God.  (James 4:16). "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). We strive to grow stronger as a praying church that is dependent upon God in all we do.  

Oneness in Christ

Here at GCC, we celebrate "diverse unity." We believe every person deserves to experience God's love, regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender. We are a learning organization that values change and experimentation. We are not afraid to fail; we are only afraid of not trying (1 Corinthians 9:19-23).
