Dreamer Collection - Moody instruMental Music by Taurus James "Human' was a 1986 single from British synth-pop band The Human League. The song was actually written by U.S. R&B producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

This was one of my favorite songs when I was in high school. The chord movement in this song reminds me of another Jam & Lewis hit - "Can You Stand The Rain" by New Edition.

Here is my Moody Instrumental Music version of the song. It's not really a cover song, but it is. I don't follow the original song 100%. You'll hear the differences in the instruments that I chose and the drum pattern is more lively and suited to my style. The biggest difference is in my piano solos (during the verses). I start out with the original song's verse, but then move completely away from it and give my piano improvisations.

About "Human":

Born to make mistakes "Human' was a 1986 single from British synth-pop band The Human League. The song was actually written by famed U.S. R&B producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were in high demand as producers from their recent work on Janet Jackson's "Control,' and offered to work with The Human League when they found out the group were at a creative impasse in the studio. They presented three songs to the band and "Human' was one of them.

The lyrics depict a couple reuniting after a period of separation. At the beginning of the song, Philip Oakey apologizes for being unfaithful to his partner while they were apart. He asks for her forgiveness, as it was never his intent to hurt her feelings, he was just looking to fill a void while they were apart. He doesn't want to see her cry and he was never out to replace her with another. He's just human - born to make mistakes.

Joanne Cahterall then has a spoken-word admission that the tears she's crying aren't tears of pain but rather guilt and shame. She then reveals that she too was unfaithful while they were apart and she's human too.

The song was a huge hit in the United States and reached number one on Billboard's Hot 100. Surprisingly, due to the production of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the mid-tempo ballad also reached number three on the R&B charts in the states. It also charted on both the dance and adult contemporary charts.

Good Fish Friday - Bass Fishing in Tishomingo, Oklahoma 20121109

Today was a great day! I went down to Tishomingo with my good friend Corey and we caught ourselves some nice bass. The day was perfect for fishing, with just enough overcast to keep the sun from baking us, while we waded down the stream.

Time really flies when you're having fun, especially when you're fishing. Eight hours flew by so fast that it was hard to believe when it was time to go. I guess you really don't think about how much walking navigating the stream you have to do. It's a great feeling to let time pass just like the flowing water of the stream.
