Here's another vinyl album from aunt Ellen's collection. Songs for Beginners is Graham Nash's first solo album, released in May 1971 and probably his most famous solo album. Nash's solo debut came on the heels of a temporary split with his CSN band-mates, David Crosby and Stephen Stills, and a permanent break with his then love, Joni Mitchell. This album's best known selections are protest songs.

Freedom - Theme from the movie Panther (Rap Version)

Fri, 10 Apr 2009 07:47:40 PT | Posted in Music

I couldn't just leave this one alone, especially when the Rap version of Freedom has all of my favorite female MCs in it - Queen Latifah, Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, Left Eye (She KILLED this joint!), and Nefertiti. I kept this joint in rotation back in 1995 while DJing with the ChillVille Crew in Tallahassee, Florida. DJ Gucci-D, this one's for you!

I was "diggin' in the crates" of my mind and I came across this memory embedded deep. Seeing this video took me back to where even the emotions gripped me.

Sisters in unity singing for FREEDOM. One of the best songs ever!

My latest collection of Moody instruMental Music is Bad Bull Beats Volume 1 and is on TaurusBeats.com now.

I'm sure you will find something you like in this collection of tracks, with its smooth jazz, golden oldies and moody melodies combined over beats that make your head knod and body move.

Click on the image to listen to the music in the collection. You get to hear me do a little something on the piano in a lot of them. But I hope you enjoy the "different" sound in my compositions. This is my Moody instruMental Music.

"A New Day" - Reason 4 beat instrumental sampled hip hop

Sat, 24 Jan 2009 08:14:30 PT | Posted in Music| 0 Comments

Here I am making the track "A New Day".

I really got into "beat making" last fall (October-November 2008) when I purchased the Akai Professional MPD32 USB/MIDI Pad Controller. It's amazing how this one piece of equipment changed the way I make music. It's like I have easier access to the creativity floating around in my head. I love the MPD32 and I highly recommend.
